Arizona Governor Doug Ducey Forced To Dismantle $80 Million Cargo-Container Wall He Just Built
Biden is fighting tooth and nail to keep our southern border open to all invaders while ignoring our immigration laws. The price our country will pay is very high. Drugs are killing our youth.
(Republican Insider) – Due to the pressure being applied to Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey from a federal lawsuit, his administration has now agreed to take down two long sections of the border wall his state had built out of stacked shipping containers that were capped off by concertina wire. Still don’t think the left wants open borders? If they didn’t, they would have left this little project alone.
Notice how the federal government isn’t doing its actual job to secure the border and build the wall to reduce the massive number of illegal aliens who are currently flooding into the country, but the moment states take action into their own hands to try and end the border crisis, the feds come charging right on in?
And they seriously don’t think we’ll notice?
“Agreeing to an aggressive border-obliteration deadline, Arizona will yank all the containers away by Jan. 4, and without damaging natural resources as it does,” author Tyler Durden of Zero Hedge wrote. “The announcement comes as the Supreme Court evaluates the legality of the Trump-era Title 42, which lets agents block asylum claims at the border, purportedly to limit the spread of contagious diseases amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Originally set to expire Dec 21 under a court order, any eventual removal of the policy is expected to spark a major influx of migrants.”
Durden then stated, “Earlier this month, the U.S Interior and Agriculture departments filed suit to stop the construction of the makeshift wall, seeking ‘a declaration that Arizona’s use and occupancy of lands owned by the United States without the required permits or other authorization constitutes unlawful trespasses.'”
The make-shift wall made out of shipping containers is located along the southern fringe of the U.S. Forest Service and U.S. Bureau of Reclamation lands and easements. Not only did the federal government challenge the building of the wall, environmentalists did too. The project was started back in August and ended up filling a third of the length of the border that was originally planned.
In the federal government’s filing, “hundreds of double-stacked, multi-ton shipping containers…damage federal lands, threaten public safety, and impede the ability of federal agencies and officials, including law enforcement personnel, to perform their official duties.”
“Ducey’s office portrayed the development as a victory, suggesting that he’d been assured the federal government would itself soon begin closing the gaps in the border wall. ‘Finally, after the situation on our border has turned into a full blown crisis, they’ve decided to act,’ his spokesman said. ‘Better late than never,'” Durden continued.
That version was then challenged by Russ McSpadden — yes, that is his real name — who works for the Center for Biological Diversity. McSpadden then remarked that the federal government has not agreed to build a wall in the sections where the shipping containers are located today. Of course not. How would the illegals get in if the border was sealed up? That would put a damper on the left’s plans to inflate Democratic Party voter rolls.
“According to the Arizona Republic, Arizona has spent more than $80 million to procure 1,167 cargo containers and stack them along remote stretches of the frontier in Yuma and Cochise counties. The state is now compelled to spend more money taking the wall down — and McSpadden said the state is also obligated to repair the damage it did to federal land,” Zero Hedge reported.
“Ducey is in the waning weeks of his tenure, as Democratic Governor-Elect Katie Hobbs waits in the wings. Her November opponent, Kari Lake, is awaiting a decision by Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Peter Thompson after a two-day trial in which the Lake campaign sought to prove that major election problems in the county were created ‘intentionally’ and ‘did actually affect the election,'” the story noted.
Gee, I wonder what will happen to all of those extra containers now?
