What’s Happening:
For years, we’ve been told that Florida was a “swing state.” That was very true way back in 2000 when the state decided the presidential election. If you asked most people, they’d say it was a battleground, with Democrats having an edge. But something has been happening in recent years, something that will have the left running for the hills.
Over the last few elections, we’ve seen Republicans win handily. Trump won Florida in 2016 and by a bigger margin in 2020. Not only do they have a strong, conservative governor, but two Republican senators. And now, a new report is helping secure the Sunshine State as a red state.
From Just the News:
In Florida, for the first time in modern political history, the number of registered Republican voters outnumber registered Democrats, raising concerns about whether donors, Washington Democrats and others will focus their efforts elsewhere.
At the same time, Republicans control most of Florida state government, and nationally recognized GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis is headed into a reelection cycle with a huge amount of campaign cash.
For the first time in modern history, Florida now has more registered Republicans than it does Democrats. How did this happen? It’s not because they forced the liberals out of the state (although that’s not a terrible idea). It’s because many former Democrats have been rushing to register with the GOP.
This is a major win for Republicans and a shocking blow to the left. Keep in mind, Republicans have been winning big races in Florida for years, even with Democrats outnumbering Republicans. Now that Republicans have more voters than Democrats? The left just might pack up their bags and leave the state for good.
Democrats at the state level are having a hard time all over the place. Voters suffered big time at the hands of Democrat mayors, governors, and state lawmakers all last year. Closed businesses, schools, and churches devastated local communities. And even today, Democrat leaders are pushing similar mandates as Biden.
We shouldn’t be surprised to see voters in Florida, and other states, ditch the Democrats over these failures. Meanwhile, Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis is making big wins, helping the state thrive during a challenging time in our country.
It’s no secret that DeSantis has become a top figure in the GOP. Other Republican governors would do well to follow his lead. They just might see their “purple” states become red.
Key Takeaways:
Republican voters top Democrat voters for the first time in Florida.
This comes as Florida enjoys a Republican governor, senators, and state legislature.
The state was once considered a “swing” state, now redder and redder.

Ineptocracy
A system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.
