McConnell Gets Bob Dole Funeral Contractor Canned Over Exercising Right To Assemble
Mitch McConnell should retire or voters should replace him. He's a mean, vindictive dishonorable skunk . . .
A funeral event planner has fired ahead of the Thursday Washington, D.C., memorial service for retired Republican Senator Bob Dole of Kansas. Tim Unes was terminated by the Elizabeth Dole Foundation for the unforgivable sin of being the recipient of a subpoena from Nancy Pelosi’s House Select Committee on January 6.
As it turns out, the firing was not the work of Pelosi or even Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), the extreme anti-Trump Republican picked by Pelosi to serve on her committee. Unes fell victim to the unapproving eye of the top Republican currently sitting in an office on Capitol Hill, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.
The New York Times reported that McConnell’s representatives brought up perceived problems with Unes to contacts in the Dole family. In a Congress “still reeling” from January 6, McConnell’s people found that the Dole contact “quickly agreed” that Unes would have a limited role and would not attend the service for Senator Dole.
Unes is the founder of Event Strategies, Inc. and is one of the people subpoenaed by Pelosi’s committee in its partisan probe. Unes and his company were subpoenaed because he contracted as the “stage manager” of President Trump’s rally in Washington on January 6 of this year. Although he had no connection with the unrest or security breach at the Capitol building, his role in the peaceful Trump assembly is being investigated by Pelosi.
Unes has not even been accused of any wrongdoing anywhere at any time. Still, his involvement in the Trump gathering led to him losing out on honoring Senator Dole, a legendary war hero, and legislator.
Steve Schwab, CEO of the Elizabeth Dole Foundation, said that he made Senator Elizabeth Dole aware of Unes’s “alleged involvement” in the events of January 6. Elizabeth Dole then terminated his volunteer role in this week’s memorial service.
Bob Dole died last Sunday at age 98. He served as Senate majority leader and ran for president in 1996. He was a World War II veteran, suffering life-threatening wounds in action in Italy.
Ineptocracy
A system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.
