What’s Happening:
Democrats are entering 2022 on a very bad foot. Generic polls show Republicans are beating Democrat candidates by over 10 points. Changes to district maps also mean incumbent Democrats will have a tough time defending their seats. This year, Democrats lost big in blue states, especially Virginia.
We all know why this is happening. Joe Biden and his cronies in Congress are dragging down the party. Pelosi has a very slim majority in the House—with a difficult battle in the 2022 midterms. Now, it’s gotten even harder, as more Democrats flee Congress.
From Fox News:
A trio of Democrats in the House of Representatives – Reps. Stephanie Murphy of Florida, Lucille Roybal-Allard of California, and Albio Sires of New Jersey – last week said that they’ll retire at the end of next year rather than run in the 2022 midterm elections for another term in Congress.
The latest news brought to 23 the number of House Democrats who are retiring or bidding for another office rather than run for reelection in 2022.
Three more Democrat representatives announced they will not be running for reelection in 2022—meaning their seats will become toss-ups in the tough midterms. This brings the total number of Democrats leaving the House to twenty-three. Meaning, Nancy Pelosi is likely to lose her majority—and the Speakership.
The party of a sitting president always does poorly in midterms. But next year’s elections will be different than others. Americans are already sick and tired of Joe Biden. His approval is a dismal 36% in some polls. Many Americans blame him for the mountain of crises hitting our country.
Worse than that is how Democrats in Congress responded this year. They sat back and did very little to check Biden’s broken agenda. Even after he let Afghanistan fall to the Taliban, they did not investigate or question him. (If that had happened under Trump, they would have impeached him a third time.)
Democrats seemingly assumed they could save their bacon, if they got the “Build Back Better” socialist bill passed. But even that failed, meaning Democrats have nothing to show for 2021. That’s the real reason 23 and counting Democrats are fleeing the House.
How many more will bow out, before the election? And many who stick around will have a very hard reelection bid (especially those in swing and conservative districts).
Key Takeaways:
Three more Democrats are ditching the House before 2022.
This brings the total to 23 Democrats not running for reelection.
Democrats only have a 3-seat majority, currently.

Ineptocracy
A system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.
