Victims of Woke Transgender Movement Speak Up: They Manipulated Us
PragerU, a conservative educational organization, has launched a documentary titled “DETRANS: The Dangers of Gender-Affirming Care.” Barbaric genital mutilation is irreversible.
PragerU, a conservative educational organization, has launched a documentary titled “DETRANS: The Dangers of Gender-Affirming Care.”
The film aims to reveal the challenges faced by those who have gone through gender-affirming care and have later reconsidered their choices.
“The film features young Americans who were manipulated by the transgender movement and pushed by medical professionals to take hormones and undergo surgery.” PragerU stated.
“Now, they are finding the courage to detransition and warn others about their experience.” PragerU added.
The documentary features stories of young Americans who were influenced by the transgender movement. It also covered those were encouraged by medical professionals to undergo hormone therapy and surgery.
Now, these individuals have found the strength to detransition and are sharing their experiences as a cautionary tale for others.
PragerU emphasized its commitment to exposing the impact of transgender ideology on vulnerable children.
PragerU has initiated a “timeline takeover” on the X/Twitter platform, with a budget of $1 million. This marks one of the organization’s most substantial ad campaigns to date.
One of the key reasons “DETRANS” is significant is that it provides a platform for detransitioners to share their stories without the stigma and censorship often imposed by social media companies and the corporate media.
Many of these stories begin with young individuals exploring transgender culture online, where they may feel isolated or troubled.
The documentary interviews a former transgender individual who describes their journey.
“I wanted to alleviate my pain. I also didn’t want to be who I was. I always felt like there was just something wrong with me. And I was trying to figure it out. I used the internet to help me do that.” the individual said.
The documentary also highlights how easily young people can be influenced and groomed by this online culture.
Once individuals become immersed in trans culture, they may seek medical intervention to alter their bodies.
“The people who are consuming this are children.” she also added that they are “13, 14, 15 years old”
“It’s so easy for them to literally be groomed.” she claimed.
However, the documentary suggests that the medical establishment often fails to provide comprehensive mental health assessments for these individuals.
Instead, they may encounter an ideology that discourages questioning and prioritizes affirming their chosen gender identity.
“When trans-identified kids are referred to specialized gender clinics. They’re often told that they’re going to get comprehensive, multidisciplinary mental health assessments. We know that that’s not true. The ideology that has become dominant at these clinics is that trans kids know who they are. Therefore, to question them is completely taboo.” another interview subject emphasized.
Furthermore, the film points out that detransitioners often struggle to find support within the medical system when they decide to reverse their transition.
“Nobody would help me because they had more concerns about me reversing everything.” one interviewee explains.
PragerU’s decision to launch its $1 million campaign on X/Twitter is based on the platform’s reputation for minimal censorship, particularly after Elon Musk’s purchase of the platform and the removal of restrictions imposed by previous leadership.
“There’s no telling how many kids could have been saved if Twitter and other social media platforms had not blocked these stories over the last few years.” Marissa Streit, PragerU CEO, said.
“We hope to inform young Americans of the dangers of gender-affirming care through this eye-opening documentary and the testimonials of those who truly regret it.” Streit added.
However, the organization revealed that Google’s YouTube platform rejected their ad placement submission almost immediately, and several film festivals rejected the documentary.
Despite these challenges, “DETRANS: The Dangers of Gender-Affirming Care” is available on PragerU’s website and social media accounts.
The documentary is also accessible through the PragerU mobile app and the PragerU SmartTV streaming app, available on platforms such as Roku, AppleTV, and Amazon Fire.
